One of the great strengths of Star Wars is its great visual appeal. Characters like Darth Maul and Qui-Gon Jinn, as well as vehicles such as Pod-Racers and the Naboo fighters, just seem to grab your eye. Great art makes a roleplaying game more enjoyable, while poor illustrations drag down the imagination. With no new West End Games books to base this new era on, what do GMs and players do who want to emulate the movie? Fans of the Star Wars series and of the RPG need to own the two visual dictionaries by DK Publishing.

The Visual Dictionary covers all the major characters and many of the minor ones. Readers who want to know about the Jedi High Council and its members will find individuals like Eeth Koth, an Iridonian Zabrak, and Ki-Adi-Mundi and Plo Koon. Those wishing to throw in a merchant faction like that of the Trade Federation will find information on the Neimoidians, their droid starfighters, battle druids, and droidekas, the fearsome destroyer druids. GMs more interested in the dangerous sea life of Naboo will find these predators covered under "Sea Monsters of Naboo," while those wishing more details on the Senate will have not only information on Chancellor Valorum, but also Senate Guards, politics, and culture.
