Anyone remember Pulp Dungeons? The modules supported no core game system and, alas, seem to be no more. The Kalamar Quest, set in Kenzer's and Company's Kingdoms of Kalamar setting (and all you thought they did was Knights of the Dinner Table. Shame on you.) look to take up the basic idea; inexpensive modules that can be completed in a night or two of gaming.

The Scirocco's Kiss by Christopher Heath and Tony Wilson, is a 1st- to 3rd-level module that pits the players against the feline Rakshasa. Normally, Rakshasas are best left to high level characters due to their magic resistance, high hit dice, and innate abilities. Players may cringe at the thought of battling such a powerful foe, but the timely death of a NPC provides them with the right tools. Included are details on the seaport district of Bet Seder.

Night of the Rot Lord by Scott Meridith is a module for 3rd- to 5th-level characters. Pitting the characters against the deranged Puash, priest of the god Rotlord, players must find out where the plague that has struck the village of Bhorr's Bend is originating from. Game Masters will get more use out of the section, Nature of Disease in the Sovereign Lands. Read about how cure disease works, and the numerous types of unique Kalamar diseases such as the rotting flesh disease and orc shingles.

Unguarded Hoard by Brian Jelke is designed for 4th- to 8th-level characters. Like The Scirocco's . . .
