ICE is synonymous with Rolemaster, a realistic fantasy role-playing system with a reputation for complexity which can prove daunting to both novice and experienced role-players alike.

Run out the Guns! breaks the mold for ICE. This "Adventure Kit" is squarely aimed at putting the fun back into role-playing. Tried and tested in convention tournaments, Run out the Guns! is a boxed set, containing everything necessary to launch gamemasters and players into a swashbuckling career of piracy in the turbulent Caribbean of the 17th century.

So what's in the box?

Inside the box is a collection of 32-page booklets containing advice on GMing, historical detail on the places and people of the buccaneer period as well as information for the players, a colour map (for the GM), black and white maps for the players, and a set of four ten-sided dice. In an unusual move, two of the dice are numbered 10, 20, ..., 90, 00, eliminating the need to choose "tens" and "units".

For the GM, the "Gamemaster Book" provides valuable advice on running successful games in terms of presenting information (whether of places, people or events) according to the differing perspectives of the individual player-characters, adventure design, and creating believable non-player-characters to enliven the game.
