Chris Clark is 75% owner and production manager of Inner City Games Designs.
ICGD began life back in 1982 with their first release, "Inner City" (RPG) which
allowed characters to play anti-heroes and crooks in the setting of the bad
police dramas of the 70's. This series saw production through 1985 (via
supplements) and was eventually withdrawn from production. It has been out of
print since 1990. The late eighties saw a string of stand alone games
including: J.A.M. (Just Another Monster, The Generic Game, Arena, and the hit
that started the Fuzzy Heroes line: Puppy Pounders. Chris also wrote for Whit
Productions during this period (The Mutazoids City Source Book), and did
free-lance articles for several magazines. In 1990, ICGD developed Fuzzy Heroes,
a line which now boasts 4 full length supplements, and has been selling ever
since. Currently, ICGD also produces the Very Large Creature line (big lizards
eating cities...), Sports Fuzz! (football for toys), and have just embarked upon
a new line of generic FRPG modules under the gentle tutilage of Gary Gygax (Gary
is playing the role of Design Editor and Creative Consultant). Chris is the
author of all of these books, and does a large part of the graphic design as
well. ICGD has experienced slow but steady growth throughout this period, but
has only been a "full-time" company since 1995. Chris is also an active member
of the Game Publisher's Association, the Game Manufacturers Association, and the
Game Master's Guild of Waukegan. In his spare time (whats that?) Chris likes to
build and race late 60's Muscle Cars.
Other stuff: Married to Marcia Clark the Lawyer (the real one, not the one in
California), two kids - 2 and 7, one Dog: Nicky (black Lab sheperd mix), house
in northern Illinois with ten acres, lotsa trees, and no people (a vanishing
form of housing in this area). I've been gaming since 1975....I guess that
means I'm old...(sigh).
ICGD is a limited partnership between Robert Bigelow (former Dragon Magazine
columnist) and Chris Clark, and has been registered since 1982. Bob's been in
gaming since the early 60's.
