February 16, 2011: Available Now from the World of Tomorrow
I'm sorry there hasn't been an update in a while. I was in charge of posting news, but shortly after I got those instructions, I got hit with a rocket launcher for doing 70 mph in a 55 zone. As my Chevy Cavalier flipped six times and flew into a ravine, an octogenarian drove by and yelled at me for being a slowpoke. Unfortunately, I hadn't backed up my clone in a while, so it took him (me) some time to get up to speed.
So, what's been going on in the world of Car Wars? Well, it turns out that a number of informative electronic supplements survived the "Worm" virus; these are now offered – at great personal risk – by e23. Here, then, are the classic goodies that are new to the electronic age:
- City Blocks and City Blocks 2 – Ready-to-print map sections to make your own city blocks.
- AADA Vehicle Guide – Over 100 vehicle designs and 130 options, making for hundreds of possible vehicles!
- Car Wars Expansion Set 6: The AADA Vehicle Guide Counters – Over 150 ready-to-print counters for automotive anarchy. Each counter comes with a separate "destroyed" version. They're black and white, so they're easy to customize with colored pencils or markers.
Plus, for those looking to introduce Car Wars to a new would-be autoduellist, or for dangerous drivers seeking a version of the game that can fit on a few sheets of paper, check out the affordable Mini Car Wars.
