July 14, 2026: Seven-Part Pact Releasing Today On Kickstarter!

Seven-Part Pact, an ornate, fantastical TTRPG-meets-board game about seven great wizards and the tribulations they face, is launching today on Kickstarter.

Players each take on one of seven powerful wizards. Each of these wizards has their own Codex and Domain, a board game that represents their responsibilities over the world. Each wizard is also associated with a role in the Celestial Audience. As Celestial Audience, players create challenges for each other which their fellow wizards must then overcome.

Every month, the position of the stars change in the shared Orrery, which in turn creates new challenges and events for each wizard's Domain. Players then schedule and spend their weeks of time fixing their Domains, interacting with their Companions, changing the lore of the setting, and conspiring together in furtherance of their schemes. Over the course of many months of play, a story emerges – one of power, responsibility, cycles of violence, and of course, magic.

Wizards are burdened with expectations. Their few close companions demand their help, their allies in the Pact irritate them with queries, and their Domain is constantly on the verge of collapse. Wizards are expected to be men as well (although they often aren't), and the struggle to live up to those expectations can be just as challenging as any board game.

Magic provides a way for wizards to fulfill their obligations and change the world. The Grimoire is a massive tome, and each wizard has complete access to every spell contained within. Magic can do anything if the wizard can just find the right spell. But magic comes with a price – its impact on the delicate interconnected worlds of Isha can be disastrous for the Pact as a whole.
