A Legend of the Five Rings Sourcebook

Many game settings are hindered by a lack of support, but this has never been a problem with AEG's Legend of the Five Rings. Following White Wolf's example of giving each clan it's own book, AEG has it's Way books. Following TSR's well know boxed settings, AEG has produced City of Lies. There have also been two adventures, and two hardcovers.

The Way of the Scorpion is the fifth Way book. It is designed for use by both players and Game Masters. The book is divided into five chapters and five appendices.

The first chapter, the Subtle Scorpion , starts off with tales that describe the Scorpion's presence in Rokugan, as well as a brief history detailing why the Scorpion Clan behaves as it does. The stories are short enough that they don't distract, and the history makes the Scorpion seem noble in their efforts to do the dirty work of the Emperor.

The second chapter, Families of the Scorpion , gives the reader four different branches of Scorpion, as well as more background information. This includes excerpts from the books "Lies", as well as "Little Truths." The first is presented in essay-style excerpt fashion; the latter is given as little proverbs of wisdom. This chapter is one of the most useful for players seeking to understand the Scorpion mindset, as it gives views of the other clans, more history, . . .
