Rites:Rite of Cleansing (VH)-13 (1), Rite of Talisman Dedication-14 (1). I created Lyana for a one-shot game, and tried to back-covert her to White Wolf's style of skills, with dots and things. I had to take a chainsaw to those dots . . . She was about twenty of the little things over a beginning character's . . . Kinda fun, though. I decided that her mother was Ragabash as well - she was "poaching" on a Silver Fang's pack, y'see, trying to get some new lupine blood. And this Silver Fang in Lupus form showed up, and didn't seem to realize that she wasn't a straight wolf . . . She thought it was funny enough that she didn't mention it to him at the time. Me: "Imagine a seven-foot hairless white werewolf with scooby-doo teeth and her head painted like a pastel easter egg, singing "Memory" under the full moon." One of the other players: "I'd pay money to see that." Another . . . Me: "No fangs or claws, hairless, and albino." Andre: "You took how many flaws??" Me: "Yeah . . ." Him: <boggled expression> I did discover that sacrificing Perception (one dot only) for other stuff (like four dots in Dexterity) was a kind of bad thing when the cthuloid horror from the vat started seeping tenticles out and grabbing people. Fortunately, trying to hang onto a 4-dot Dex werewolf is like trying to hang onto a greased pig . . . It was amusing. But I discovered I really hate the White Wolf system, since it means you've got up to nine fragging little dice to lose under the couch, instead of only 3 or so with GURPS.
