May 25, 2003: The Star THEY Didn't Want You To Find

Astronomers have discovered a new red dwarf a little less than 8 light-years from Earth . . . making it the third-closest star (after the Alpha Centauri system and Barnard's Star) to our own.

Why didn't we know about a star that close before now? Read the Space.com story for one theory, although of course we blame the Illuminati. And start rewriting all those "20 Stars Closest to Sol" tables . . .
