May 24, 2010: Pondering On Papal Peers
Clerics are one of the four classic archetypes of fantasy RPGs. In the old days, they were the envy of the other classes. Wear armor and cast spells? Discounts on healing potions? A sanctuary in every town? Sign me up!
But today, clerics' benefits aren't so blatant. Pyramid #3/19: Tools of the Trade - Clerics deals with some of these advantages, like Aura of Power and artifacts from Warehouse XXIII. This issue also covers a couple of clerical groups: shaman, sin eaters, and Templars. Yeah, Templars -- they were a clerical group, even as they tried to take over the world.
