Conversions:

Fantasy:

Ulsyn becomes a bard, looking for those great stories that will get his name remembered for generations - and keep him fed in the meantime. Impressing attractive tavern wenches is good too. Replace all tech skills with appropriate fantasy ones - particularly, get Musical Instrument, Riding (Horse), Singing, and a weapon skill. Add Literacy.

Modern and Near Future:

Just change the tech levels of the skills, dropping the ones that don't fit.

Ulsyn (like all wretched reporters) is another good character to plague PCs with - only he's worse, because he's a Precog as well, and tends to show up before the PCs do! He's a bit of a "puppy," though, and can easily be distracted by attractive females. Unfortunately, he also tends to follow the object of his infatuation around! Other uses for him are: as someone to be rescued, someone with information the PCs need, or a 0-point Dependant. For double the irritation, he may be found in the company of Scherazade Harami . . .

Typical Quotes:

"Ms. Ward . . . Like, I've seen all your holovids, uh, and I really like your songs, and, ah, ur, um . . . "

"I'm with the press! What do you mean I can't go in there?"

"Come on! I gotta get a picture of, of . . . of what's about to happen! It'll be really good!"
