September 21, 2012: Where's All The New Stuff?

As we move close to the fourth quarter of the year (that magical time of the year when retailers start to show a profit) it's time to take a quick look at the status of several upcoming releases.

  • Munchkin Penny Arcade - This was originally planned for a September release. Unfortunately, delays with a couple of other items that were sharing the container with Munchkin Penny Arcade held this booster at the factory. You see, when games ship to us we pack containers as tight as we can; boosters are too small to fill a container on their own so they have to wait for more games to fill out the shipping container.
  • Cthulhu Dice Metäl - Testing slowed things down a little. It seems that when you produce dice out of metal they take a little longer to test than standard urea or acrylic dice. We'll keep that in mind for any future metal dice.
  • Zombie Dice - The reprint is on the way and expected at the warehouse in October. I wish we hadn't run out, but when TableTop features your game, there's a chance sales will increase . . . dramatically. Sorry, everyone, but we weren't prepared for the increased demand. (We are preparing ahead, though, and the Zombie Dice 2 reprint is already in the works, so we shouldn't run out of that one.)
  • Munchkin Naughty & Nice - On schedule and should reach the warehouse in October. We know this one's a great gift for Munchkin fans so we've done everything we can to keep the booster on track.
  • Munchkin Apocalypse - The world ends later this year, but before that happens Munchkin Apocalypse will be at your game store. And anyone planning to attend New York Comic Con next month should stop by and say hi; we'll be at the Compleat Strategist booth and there just might be a new Munchkin core set for sale.

There are other new games and accessories on the way -- keep an eye on our New Releases page -- and if the boats run on time fourth quarter will be very merry for us all.
