November 13, 2017: Get Ready For The End With Munchkin Apocalypse!
It has been almost five years since the Mayan calendar predicted the world would end, but we are still here! Well, so far . . . To keep preparing for the End, we invite you to play Munchkin Apocalypse!
In this end-of-times Munchkin game, you are a rugged survivor in a world full of people and things that want to kill you and take your stuff. To keep living, you should do it to them first! Munchkin Apocalypse includes a new card type, Disaster, and Seals that run all over the place. Be careful with the seventh one!
This apocalyptic Munchkin-fest was developed by Andrew Hackard and illustrated by John Kovalic – as always, a winning duo. It was released in November 2012, just in time for Doomsday.
Alas, the world didn't end then! To make up for any Doomsday disappointment, we released an expansion in 2014, Munchkin Apocalypse 2 - Sheep Impact, with even more monsters and loot to play with, as well as a new class to join the five already in the core set.
Of course, an apocalyptic game isn't complete without creepy art, so two years later, we added Munchkin Apocalypse Guest Artist Edition to the fold. This Deluxe version features artist Len Peralta's unique take on the end of the world, with illustrations that have a Mad Max: Fury Road vibe, along with a circular gameboard reminiscent of the Mayan calendar. The board shows level 10 at the center, replete with treasure and weapons – the only things you need to survive!
Don't think you could survive Doomsday? You just need practice. Sharpen your backstabbing skills for the world's end with either version of the Munchkin Apocalypse game, available at your FLGS and Warehouse 23!
